About me

Back in 2017 I made the decision to complete my first Ironman. With a background in running and 1 marathon under my belt, I sought after the title of “Ironman”. I had no experience swimming, and I rode a BMX bike to get me to school. After 8 months of training, Mike Reilly announced me as an Ironman at Madison with a time of 11:38:36. My plan was to be a 1 and done, but I was hooked and completed my 2nd Ironman 5 weeks later. Fast forward 5 years and I crossed the finish line in Kona, Hawaii in 2022. Moving forward, my goal is to inspire and empower other athletes as I work towards my professional racing license.

Throwback Thursday

This post is a throwback to my first Ironman 70.3 in Madison Wisconsin. I just want to share some pictures from that race and what has happened since. It's been exactly 3 years since I took that first major step towards completing an Ironman. I remember the race well, but my most vivid memories are of my parents coming to support me.

My mom, the superfan
Mom: The Super Fan

Dad: The Triathlete Himself

What has happened since that race? I've:
Been on the podium twice
Broke the 3 hour marathon
Completed 5 full Ironmans
Dropped 56 minutes off my 70.3 time
Raced 2 sprint triathlons with my dad
Watched my dad complete 6 half marathons

It's been a long 3 years since then, and I've grown into a much different athlete. I feel closer than I have ever been to qualifying for Kona, and I have just a few short months until I lay it all out there.
